What is medical freedom?

I’m about ready to post the topic I promised you the other day, but I’ve had a few people ask me what medical freedom is. I figure that’s a rather important question to answer so just really quickly...

For the purposes of this page, medical freedom means:
•the ability to obtain objective information regarding the efficacy and side effects of any medical procedure or treatment
•a respectful partnership with medical professionals
•an absence of government mandates regarding medical procedures or treatments
•parental authority in licit medical decisions

According to St John Paul II, “Freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought.” So let’s talk about that too.

Topics we will likely cover, an incomplete list:
•pregnancy, labor, and delivery
•vaccines
•Covid-19 (masks and vaccine trials)
•where to find objective information/research
•and lots more!

As I’ve stated multiple times, I’m not a doctor and I do not give medical advice in this page. Rather, I seek to use the Catholic lens to explore the ramifications of mandating/coercing people into a one-size-fits-all medical model. Oh, and what we can do about it. 🙃

I hope you’re up for a bumpy ride! 🤣 Weigh in below if you have any other topics you’d like to see me cover.
