Who are you favorite influencers?

Who are you favorite influencers?
Holy scripture?
Sacred tradition?
Church teaching?
Sacraments?
Saints?
Angels?
Martyrs?

God the Father, Who loved you into existence?
The Holy Spirit, Who remains in you?
Jesus Christ, Who died for you?
His Mother who covers you with her mantle of protection?
His earthly father who stands guard against demons?

Friends. Please stop following earthly influencers.

Yes, I know there are good and holy Christians on the ‘gram. But they are simply friends on the journey too, helpful, yes, but imperfect and prone to sin and confusion.

Put not your trust in princes.

A friend on the journey should walk alongside you and encourage you to get to Heaven. Cheer for you, and pray for you, and call you to repentance out of love.

Because that’s what a friend does.

An earthly friend should be willing to say to you, “I am an imperfect sinner, in as much need of His fiery, tender mercy as anyone out there. Pray for me, as I pray for you.”

You already have the best influencers one could hope to have. Let’s just point each other back to them.
