The Silencing of Conscience

“History illustrates that the penultimate policy of totalitarianism is to disallow the following of conscience; the ultimate policy of totalitarianism is to force people to act against their own consciences.

If you’re not already following @crisismag, what are you even doing with your life? 🤣

I jest, but just barely. They have been a beacon of light in a time of darkness and a voice of wisdom in a time of madness.

That’s pretty much all I have to say right now, except to warn faithful Catholics to be very discerning about the journalism you consume. There are many allegedly Catholic publications that espouse open heresy. Stay far away.

The examination of conscience in my missal says this: “Did I willfully and seriously doubt my faith, or put myself in danger of losing it by reading literature hostile to Catholic teachings or by getting involved with non-Catholic sects?”

Consume wisely, friends.
